Automatic backups in single-user version

Data files can be easily saved with the software from version 7.3 onwards.

In Maintenance Configuration, accessible via the Other button (cogwheel) on the main window's buttons bar, a Backups Folder button lets you define the folder where you wish to save backups.

Once the backup location has been defined, the program takes care of recording any changes made to the data file in real time, and makes a complete copy of the file each time the program is exited or another data file is opened.

The last backup of the day is kept for 7 days, and the last backup of the month for one year.

Our recommendations

The backup folder should be located on a physical disk other than the disk on which the original file is stored, to protect against disk failure. If you choose a cloud volume, you limit the consequences of computer theft or fire.

It's also possible to save your backups in the cloud via a service such as Swiss Backup.
