How to speed up repetitive data entry ?

In the course of your daily work, you will frequently enter the same expressions or phrases. The Glossary, accessible via the Data menu, is designed to automate the reuse of these expressions by creating a link between the expression and a code.

 

To create a Glossary record, call the Action>New command or click on the New button.

 

A Glossary record consists of two fields:

 

  • Code: a unique code of up to 5 characters. Preferably enter a mnemonic code, e.g. PN for "Benefits in kind".
  • Text: Expression to be automated

When entering a record, enter the code preceded by the * sign (e.g. *PN) and when you press the tab key to go to the next item, the program automatically substitutes the code with the corresponding expression. Note that you can combine several glossary entries separated by a space.
