How do I use the favorites bar ?
The favorites bar gives immediate access to the main elements of the software. It contains five groups of favorites:
- Files: a list of commonly used files. You can display the desired file by clicking on its name. If a file has a double link symbol on the left-hand side, clicking on this symbol automatically selects the records linked to the currently activated records in this file.
Example : in the file Addresses of Office Maker Business, you have activated 1 address. By clicking on the symbol of the double link in the Debtor invoices file, you can display the invoices linked to this address in one click. - Print : list of the print formats of the current file. If you click on a print format, the program will use it to print the activated records in the selected format.
Example : in the Accounts file of Office Maker Finance, you have activated 3 accounts. By clicking on the print format Account extracts, you get a list of the entries for these 3 accounts. - Exports : list of export formats of the current file. If you click on an export format, the program will use it to export the activated records in the selected format.
Example : in the Salaries file of Office Maker Staff, you have activated 5 salary records. By clicking on the ISO transfers export format, you obtain on the disk an ISO transfers file for these 5 salaries. - Imports : list of import formats of the current file. If you click on an import format, the program uses it to import a file on the disk in the selected format.
Example : in the Entries file in Office Maker Finance, you click on the Office Maker Exchange format : the program imports the file from OM Business or OM Staff, for example, from the disk. - Searches : list of saved search formulas. If you click on one of these formulas, the program executes it and displays the records found.
The favorites bar can be customized according to the personal use of the program.
