How do I modify several records in bulk ?

It may happen that you need to modify several records by assigning the same value to all of them. A manual and individual correction of each record would be very tedious. This is why the programs offer a command in the Action menu called Apply.

Before calling up this command, please activate the records to which you wish to make a change. Then call the Action>Apply command. In the Target field, select the field whose content is to be modified. Then fill in the Value field and click on the Apply button. After a confirmation request, the program applies the defined value to the previously activated records.

Warning: this very powerful command is potentially dangerous in case of error and cannot be cancelled. You should therefore be particularly careful, especially if dozens or hundreds of records are involved.
