How can I get an overview of salaries ?
When you call up the Salaries grid command in the Data menu, a new window appears, superimposed on the main window.
This display mode presents, in table form, the data extracted from the salary forms, with one line per employee. The data in question is that of the Salary Type you choose from the pop-up menu at the top of the window.
In this illustration, there are five employees, for whom data of type No. 6500.00 (net salary) has been selected in the pop-up menu.
Values are displayed for each month for which salaries have been calculated. The totals per month (in columns) and per employee (in rows) are also calculated and displayed, along with the grand total.
You can continue to work in the program while keeping the salaries grid displayed on screen.
Displaying a salary type
Select the data you wish to display from the pop-up menu. The program defaults to the most useful types.
If the display of a certain type is not relevant for certain employees, i.e. if all the data in a line are empty, the lines in question can be temporarily hidden by checking the Hide empty lines option. For example, for type No. 1005.00 (Hourly wage), this option will prevent monthly-paid employees from being displayed.
Accessing data from the salaries grid
If you double-click on a cell containing an employee's first and last name, the program opens the employee's record. You can then consult or even modify the record.
If you double-click on a cell containing a value in a month column, the program opens the corresponding salary record. You can then consult or even modify it.
Print or export the salaries grid
The two buttons at the bottom of the window allow you to print or export to a text file the salaries grid data, as displayed on the screen.
