Configure REST access
Office Maker offers partial access to its database via a web service based on REST (representational state transfer).
The REST standard could be used for the following purposes :
Office Maker Business
Sales made on an online sales site (e-commerce solution) can be instantly transformed into Invoices Receivable (paid or unpaid) thanks to a REST API that you activate in the Web menu of Maintenance. This enables you to consolidate your sales statistics, track debtors and generate accounting entries.
Office Maker Finance
Export the chart of accounts to another program or generate dashboards based for instance on sales statistics.
Office Maker Staff
Exchange data with a Timesheet application or create statistics from your salary data.
The transmission format is described in our online documentation.
The Configure REST users command is used to define the REST accounts (name and password). The complex, unique password is automatically generated and should be copied to the clipboard and pasted into a document for safekeeping. Records created via the REST server will have the user name defined here.
You can start and stop the REST publishing at any time with the Enable/Disable REST access command in the Web menu of the Maintenance.
