Connection to OMB Mobile

Notice : connecting to OMB Mobile succeeds only if the web server has been set up und is running on the Office Maker Business server. Please read this article  to get more information about this topic.

To connect to OMB Mobile from a mobile device, start your web browser and enter the IP address followed by the TCP port number (separated by the : sign), as specified in the OMB Mobile configuration.

Example: if OMB Mobile is running on a server with the IP address 192.168.14.5 and the TCP port number is 8080, the address to enter in the web browser is 192.168.14.5:8080.

If OMB Mobile has been configured to use a secure connection and you attempt to connect in non-secure mode, you will be automatically redirected to the secure connection TCP port.

A login dialog is displayed, containing the User and Password fields. Please enter the same information as from your usual workstation.

For a more convenient connection, you can save a shortcut to OMB Mobile on the home screen of your mobile device:

On iOS, tap the web browser's share icon and choose “Add to home screen”.

On Android, tap the menu next to the web browser address bar and choose “Add to home screen”.
