How to protect the e-mailing of payroll documents with a password

You can send payroll documents (salary slips or certificates) to your employees by e-mail. To guarantee data confidentiality, set a password that will be required when the e-mail recipient attempts to open the document.

Set a password for a single employee

In the Employees file, select the desired employee record and choose Action>Modify.

In the Supplements tab, assign a password in the Payroll documents password field. If necessary, use the cogwheel to the right of the field to have the program suggest a password. Don't forget to make a note of this password so that you can pass it on to the employee.

The cogwheel also lets you immediately send the password to the employee's private or professional e-mail address.

Set a password for several employees at once

If you wish to set a password for several employees at once, select their master record in the Employees file, then call up the Action>Apply command.

In the Apply dialog, select the Payroll documents password target. You can either assign the same password to each employee (fill in the Payroll documents password field) or a different password (check the Random password box). As an option, check the Send by e-mail (private/professional e-mail) box to immediately e-mail the password to the employee.

Finally, click on the Apply button to start assigning passwords.
