Accessing the Office Maker Business database from a mobile device
Office Maker Business includes a web server that allows users to access key database information using a web browser on a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet. This feature is called “OMB Mobile.”
A typical example of how OMB Mobile is used is by a sales or technical representative visiting the company's customers, who can obtain a history of past contacts, schedule appointments, access his company's catalog of products and services, and directly enter orders from his customers.
If you want to give your company's employees access to OMB Mobile, you must first configure the software. This article describes this step.
Once OMB Mobile has been configured and started, employees can log in. This article describes the process.
Once logged in, users have access to the following data (the administrator may decide not to grant access to some of these files):
- Addresses
- Items-Services
- Events
- Debtors orders
- Employees
- Statistics
- Mandates
Depending on the permissions granted to them, users can search, add, or modify database records. All changes are saved in real time.
