How do I create a mandate in OM Business?
A Mandate is a group of Events and of debtor and/or creditor documents. After a mandate has been created, its code can be entered in events records or in documents in order to link records. You can eventually check in a mandate record all linked events and documents in order to get an overview.
Once the Mandates module has been activated, the Contacts menu contains two additional commands :
- Mandates
- Stopwatch
The Mandates command gives access to the file of the same name. Click on the Add button or call the Action>Add command in order to create a new Mandate record that contains four tabs:
- Mandates : This page contains the fields describing the mandate.
- Complements : This page contains many custom fields.
- Events : This page lets you manage the events linked to the mandate and check values computed by the program. Moreover, you can add, edit, delete events or create invoices.
- Linked documents : On this page are displayed documents such as offers, orders, invoices, etc. You can add documents, modify, convert or link them to the mandate.
The Stopwatch command displays a dialog containing the list of favorite mandates (this list can be edited with the + and - buttons) as well as a tool for measuring the time spent on the selected mandate. The time measured will be the subject of an Event record with the recorded duration, which is useful for later invoicing the time spent on the mandate.
