How do I activate records (highlight them) ?
Several commands in the Action (Apply, Delete, Linked records, Isolate, Hide) and File (Print) menus are best applied to activated (highlighted) records. Here is how to activate records:
Activate 1 record only: click on the record |

To activate several records continuously: click on the first record. Then press the Shift key and click on the last record with this key pressed: all the records between the first and the last are also highlighted. |

To activate several records discontinuously: click on the first record. Then press the Command key (Mac) or Control key (Windows) and click on the other records while holding down the key. |

After you have activated records, it is recommended to use the Action>Isolate command in order to create a selection of records.
