How do I delete old loans statistics ?

Every time you loan a title, a statistics record is generated in order to keep a trace of the loan. It is nevertheless not necessary to keep statistics forever.

 

Therefore, you can delete older statistics records. In the Maintenance, choose the Delete all statistics command (in the Other menu), then define the period for which you want to delete the statistics (for instance from 1.1.2020 to 31.12.2020).

 

Caution: loans statistics are used for several cases :

  • Display the number of loans during a certain time
  • Display the number of times a specific title was lent
  • Display a list of titles a reader has borrowed in the past

 

The two last cases require older statistics. This is why we recommend not to delete statistics younger thant 5 to 10 years.
