How can I renew quickly all loans for students from the same class ?

If the students in a class are registered individually in the Addresses file, it could be quite tedious to register each student's loan renewal one after the other. There is, however, a more efficient method:

Note: we assume that in the Addresses file, each student record contains the class to which he/she belongs. This information can be included, for example, in a free field.

The first step is to search for all students in the class in question. In the Addresses file, use the usual search functions (Find or Search) to isolate students based on their class.

Once the students have been found, call the Action>Linked records>Loans command to display the students' loans.

Then call the Action>Apply command, choose the Renewal Goal to extend the loan period or set a new return date.
