How do I enter the institutions I work with ?
The Institutions file (accessible via the Data menu) is used to reference the contact details of the various parties concerned by the ELM (swissdec) standard for payroll data processing. The program automatically creates a series of files for the main institutions. For each of these, decisive values can or must be entered, which are then used to calculate Salary types and print official statements.
Institutions are distinguished by the Domain field, which is a code whose meaning is recalled below:
- AHV-ALV / AVS-AC Old Age and Survivors' Insurance / Unemployment Insurance SUVA Swiss National Accident Insurance Fund
- UVG/LAA Accident insurance law
- UVGZ/LAAC Supplementary accident insurance law
- BVG/LPP Law on occupational pensions (2nd pillar)
- FAK/CAF Family allowance fund
- KTG/IJM Daily sickness benefit insurance (ALV/APG)
It is necessary to complete these records with data specific to your company. Double-click on each institution in the list to access the file, click on the Modify button and complete the various fields. Close the form by clicking on the Validate button.
The data for each file is divided into two tabs: Address and Settings.
Address tab
Under the Address tab, you must specify at least the name of the fund, organization or institution.
Settings tab
Different institutions require different values. For example, for AHV-ALV / AVS-AC, you need to enter the fund number and the member number. Take the time to check, enter or modify constants such as Rates, Upper limits, Employer/Employee distribution, etc. In some cases, a list of values must be created.
To complete these fields as accurately and comprehensively as possible, we recommend that you refer to the "Insurance Profile" documents, which each insurance company participating in the Swiss salary standard must have sent you.
