Usefulness of the Movements file
The Movements file is automatically created by the program when entries are made. It is used to track variations in an account (increase or decrease) over a given period, such as a month.
In order to be able to make comparisons between two periods, if this is the first data file you are managing with Office Maker Finance, you must manually enter the movements corresponding to the previous period (or at least one transaction per account for the entire period). Subsequently, when a data file is created using the New Period command, transactions from the previous period can be included automatically.
To consult the file correctly, you must first sort it by account number and period number.
Opening balances are distinguished from normal movements by italics in the Amount column.
