Word processor sidebar: the "Insert" option - Knowledge Base Office Maker / BiblioMaker

The word processor sidebar gives you numerous options for formatting your text.

It is dominated by a pop-up menu containing various options. Selecting an option changes the contents of the sidebar.

	Page	Inserts a page break.
	Column	Inserts a column break.
	Section	Inserts a section break.
	Continuous section	Inserts a section break without restarting the page numbering of the next section at 1.
	Picture	Inserts an image by importing a file saved on disk.
	Hyperlink	Inserts a text or image hyperlink. Text : A text hyperlink consists of a label (=the clickable text) and the link itself (the address to which the hyperlink leads). Local picture : A local image hyperlink consists of an image and a link. The image is imported from the hard disk using the button with the page icon, or by dragging and dropping the image file into the image preview area. Web picture : A web image hyperlink consists of an image and a link. Enter the image address and the link, both in the form of a URL. Use the world map icon to check the validity of the link.
	Table	Inserts a table to display information in a grid. A secondary click on the Table button displays a grid of cells for quicker definition of table size.
	Text	Inserts a text block over the main text area. This block can be placed anywhere on the page and can contain text, an image, a hyperlink or a function.
	Page Nr	Inserts a code replaced by the page number.
	Nbr Pages	Inserts a code replaced by the number of pages in the document.
	Date	Inserts a code replaced by the current date, updated each time the document is opened. Select the date format to be used from the pop-up menu.
	Time	Inserts a code replaced by the current time, updated each time the document is opened. Select the time format to be used from the pop-up menu.
	Display	Displays either the inserted code or the value replacing it, to preview the final result. If you check the Highlight expressions box, the values found are displayed on a gray background to distinguish them from the fixed content. This gray background will not appear in the final result.
	Freeze	Permanently replaces codes with their corresponding values.
	Update	Refreshes values found using codes. For example, if you have inserted a code indicating the current date, this date will be updated when you click on this button.
