How do I prevent a reader from borrowing titles from a certain date ?

In the reader record (in the Addresses file), enter a date in the End date return field.

The system will refuse new loans (or renewals) from this date on. And if the reader borrows a title before this date, the system could shorten the loan duration, so that the date of return is not later then the end date of return.

This function can be used for instance in schools, in order to prevent students from the last grade to borrow titles with a date of return that could be later than when they have left the school.

If you want to set up a date for several readers at once, please use the Action>Apply command, End date return target.
