Regenerating data
Regeneration (called from the Maintenance with the Operations menu) is necessary when the Coherence Check detects anomalies. This operation resets all account balances to zero and recalculates them on the basis of the Entries file.
You can select the data to be regenerated from the options provided. If, for example, the coherence check simply indicates a false account balance, it will suffice to regenerate the account balances.
If you choose to regenerate entries, the following three options are automatically checked.
Damaged entries are deleted after user confirmation. In the event of a problem, a report is provided at the end of regeneration. This report can be printed out or saved on the hard disk as a text file.
Warning: this operation may take some time and should not be interrupted.
