What is the purpose of the buttons bar and how do I use it ?

The buttons bar at the top of the main window contains about ten buttons whose functions are equivalent to the main commands in the File and Action menus.

To call one of these functions, you have the following options:

• Select the command with the mouse in the File or Action menu
• Enter the keyboard shortcut for these commands (displayed in the File or Action menu)
• Click on the buttons on the buttons bar

Note that most of the buttons (identified by a small arrow pointing down below their icon) can call alternative commands. To do this, use the right mouse click or on the Mac the Ctrl key with the click.
