What is the purpose of the search field and how do I use it ?

To the right of the button bar is a field identified by a magnifying glass icon. This is a simple search function: enter a term and all records containing that term are immediately displayed in the main window.

This field can be accessed with a mouse click or with the Tab key.

By default, the program searches in different fields of the records. But you can limit the search to a particular field. To do this, click on the magnifying glass icon located inside the search field and select the desired field from the pop-up menu.
