How do I manage readers’ subscriptions ?

With BiblioMaker, you can manage the readers’ subscriptions in all its aspects: registration of the subscription payment with automatic renewal of the subscription, follow up of the payments, blocking of new loans for a reader who has not paid his subscription on time, printing of a letter inviting readers to pay for (or renew) their subscription, etc.

If you’d like to manage subscription in your library with BiblioMaker, you first have to activate this management in the general Options of the Addresses file.

Define then the subscription amounts (1 amount per address type; if you have several amounts, you have to create several reader types, as for instance Adult reader and Child, etc.

Once you have defined these settings, you may print a letter inviting your readers to pay for their subscription. You can personalise the Subscription letter print format (in the Options of this format) by changing the standard text.

The registration the subscription payment is done when checking titles in/out (button Payment) or by importing an ISR-file downloaded from your bank or from the post office. When a subscription is paid, its validity is automatically renewed.
