How do I delete a double author ?

It sometimes happen that you enter the same author twice, because of a typo or because you typed the whole author name in the Authors field during cataloguing instead of typing only the first characters of his surname.

If you notice that you have twice the same author, you can fix the issue as follows :

1. In the Authors file, modify the record of the author you want to delete.
2. Click on the Delete button.
3. If this author is linked to one or several titles, you get a warning, but you may link these titles to another author record.
4. Enter the author you want to keep, then validate.

The system modifies the linked titles then deletes the double author record.
