I want to install the software on a new computer, what about the license ?

You're using Office Maker or BiblioMaker on one computer and you're moving to another device. What about the program license, and what do you need to do to use the program on another computer?

The good news is that the operation is very simple, thanks to the fact that the program license is stored in the data file.

Single-user Version

If you are using the single-user version of the software and your data file(s) are on your local disk, you will need to transfer them to the new computer. For the program, we recommend that you download it from our website and install it*.

If your data file(s) are on a file server, simply download and install the program on the new computer*. You can then open the data file on the file server.

* Please note that the program downloaded from our site may be a more recent version than the one installed on your old computer. If the new version is of a more recent generation, it may require a new activation key, delivered only as part of the update subscription. You can download the program of the same generation as on your old computer from our archives. Our technical support team will be happy to tell you more.

In both cases, you won't need to enter an activation key if you're using the same generation of software on the old and new computers.

Server Version

If you change your workstation equipped with the client software, simply download and install the program from our website. The first time you start up on your new computer, the client program will ask you for the server address. Once you've entered this information, the connection to the server is established, and you don't need to enter any activation key.

If you change the server hosting the server application and data file(s), you will need to transfer them to the new server and install the server application. To do this, use our installation guide available on our website, or ask our technicians to take care of the operation or assist you. As with the single-user version, if you install the program of the same generation as on the old server, no activation key will be required.
