How do I install the TeamViewer software ?

The TeamViewer software is the tool used by our technicians to remotely operate your computers.

Remote control of your computer requires that TeamViewer is installed and running on your computer. The software is free.

Here is how to download and install TeamViewer:

1. Download the software at the following address: https://download.teamviewer.com/download/TeamViewerQS.dmg (for Mac) or https://download.teamviewer.com/download/TeamViewerQS.exe (for Windows)
2. The downloaded file is usually located in your Download folder.
3. On a Mac, open the .dmg file and copy from the window that appears the "TeamViewer QuickSupport" program to your Applications folder.
   On Windows, move the TeamViewer QuickSupport program to the desktop of your computer.
4. Start up the program. On the Mac, you will need to give additional permissions to TeamViewer. Follow the instructions on the screen.
5. TeamViewer displays "Your ID" followed by a number and "Password" followed by a code. Give this information to the support technician so that he can connect to your computer.

Please note! Only give your ID number and password to someone you trust! The person you're speaking to will be controlling your computer, and someone with malicious intent could abuse this power and do you harm.
