Choice of reader information in the loan management window

The loan management window contains a Reader area displaying information on the reader whose account has been called up.

By default, the area displays the following information:

  • Last name
  • First name
  • Post address

Other information can be displayed, such as telephone number, e-mail address, class (for a pupil in a school), date of birth…

Here's how to change the reader information display:

In the Loans file (accessible via the Data menu), call up Options (Action>Options command). In the Display tab, insert the cursor in the Display in the Reader Zone. This zone contains the names of the fields to be displayed, in the form <File name: Field name/Code>. If necessary, delete unwanted field names (including < and > signs). To add a field, place the cursor where you wish to insert the field and select it from the area listing the fields to the right of the reader area. Once the field has been inserted, add a code after the field name, preceded by the slash. Possible codes are :

  • /1 : inserts a carriage return after the field
  • /2 : inserts a tab after the field
  • /3 : inserts a space after the field
  • /4 : inserts a carriage return after the field, unless the field is empty
  • /5 : inserts a tab after the field, unless the field is empty
  • /6 : inserts a space after the field, unless the field is empty
