How do I save and restore a selection of records?

You can create a selection of records by using the Isolate  and Hide buttons or by searching. This selection is saved until a new selection is created or until you exit the software.

If you want to memorise a selection for a longer period (e.g. even if you have closed the software in the meantime), call the File>Export command and choose an export format named ‘Selection by…’. The saved file on the disk contains an identifier for each record in the selection.

To import a previously saved set of records, go to File > Import and select the import format ‘Selection by…’. Then select the saved file on the disk. Unlike other import formats, the programme does not create new records, but a selection of existing records that were part of the original selection.
