How do I customize the printed catalogues (Author catalogue, Classified catalogue, Subject catalogue, Title catalogue) ?

BiblioMaker offers a number of pre-defined print formats that can be used to obtain a list of new acquisitions, a bibliography on a given subject or by a particular author…

The following formats are available from the Titles file:

  • Classified catalogue
  • Complete author catalogue
  • Short author catalogue
  • Subject catalogue
  • Title catalogue

These formats can be customized in several ways:

  • Using format options: in the Titles file, call up the Print command, select the desired format and click on the Options button. Several checkboxes allow you to display the authors above the corresponding records, the statement of responsibility after the title, the volumes (BiblioMaker PRO only), the cover page and the abstract. In addition, the Cogwheel button gives access to the search editor  if you wish to associate a search formula with the format printout.
  • Using the Layout editor: (BiblioMaker Standard and PRO only) : in the Titles file, call up the Print command and select the desired format. If the format name is displayed in bold type, it is a standard format and you must duplicate it before modifying the copy. Otherwise, select the format (which is already a copy of a standard format) and click on the Modify button, which displays the Layout editor .

You can create several copies of a print format and customize each copy differently.
