Accounting entries in foreign currencies
Office Maker Finance makes it easy to enter multi-currency entries. If the account indicated in an entry line is in a currency other than the base currency, the debit or credit value can be entered either in base currency or in foreign currency. There is also a section for modifying the exchange rate, if required.
Any change in the Exchange rate, as well as any change in the foreign currency amount, causes the base currency amount to be recalculated and updated.
If you delete the foreign currency amount and re-enter a base currency rate and amount, the program recalculates the foreign currency amount.
Note: the default rate is the one in effect on the date of entry, or the most recent one prior to this date. The rate can be set annually, semi-annually, quarterly, or modified daily, in the Exchange rates file.
