Word processor, how do I insert a hyperlink ?

Here's how to insert a hyperlink in the word processor:

  1. Place the cursor in the word-processing area where you wish to insert the hyperlink, and select Insert>Insert hyperlink from the contextual menu. Alternatively, in the sidebar, select the Insert option and click on the Hyperlink button.
  2. An area for entering hyperlink properties appears above the word processor area. This area contains the following items:
Type : hyperlink of type Text, Local picture or Web picture. If the type is a picture, you'll need to select the picture on disk (for a local picture) or enter its address (for a web picture).
Label (for a hyperlink of type Text) or Address (for a hyperlink of type Web picture)
    Link to : hyperlink destination
World map icon : allows you to test the hyperlink and ensure that it leads to a valid address
Save the hyperlink with the  button.

Notice

To modify a hyperlink, call up the contextual menu with a secondary click on the hyperlink and choose the Modify hyperlink command.

Entering a clickable hyperlink only makes sense if the final document is in digital format (PDF or e-mail, for example).

For Web Picture hyperlinks, the address should preferably be entered using your browser's Copy & Paste command, to avoid typos that would render the hyperlink unusable.
